Retinal Detachment
Recognise symptoms that need urgent assessment.

What is Retinal Detachment?
A sudden shower of floaters, flashes of light or a curtain-like shadow may need urgent eye care. Do not delay an examination if these symptoms appear.
When to seek help
- When a vision change is new, worsening or affecting daily activities.
- When you notice flashes, floaters, distortion, a shadow or sudden reduction in vision.
- When you have diabetes or a known eye condition and need a review.
